2017 Rhinefarm RoséSonoma Coast
Since tasting notes are no stranger to hyperbole, please forgive us for claiming the 2017 Rhinefarm Rosé as our best vintage of this wine yet.
Since tasting notes are no stranger to hyperbole, please forgive us for claiming the 2017 Rhinefarm Rosé as our best vintage of this wine yet. Pale in color with inviting aromatics, captivating layers of coastal strawberries and green apples intermingled with a seductive pinch of confectioner's sugar are subtly revealed. The light bodied palate has lively flavors of lime-driven citrus and tart red fruits that are contrasted by a surprisingly creamy texture, yet remain refreshing and nimble. With so much sensual satisfaction from a light package, we have no doubt you will fall in love with this rosé as well - no exaggeration!
Our Rhinefarm Rosé is crafted with fruit sourced primarily from the Bundschu family's 150+ year-old Rhinefarm Estate Vineyard, located on the southwest slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, just eight miles north of San Pablo Bay. The terrain below 150 ft elevation features gently sloping Huichica clay loam soils with gravel deposits and cooler growing conditions that deliver minerality and focused acidity. Our Rhinefarm Rosé is sourced primarily from Dijon and Heritage clones of Pinot Noir up to 40 years old.
