2025 'Naranja' Orange Wine
Sonoma CoastOur Naranja is a skin-fermented white wine that blurs the line between white and red, offering vibrant citrus, tea-like tannins, and savory complexity. Adventurous yet approachable, it's a conversation-starting wine that rewards curious palates.
Tasting NOTES
This skin-contact white aka orange wine may be rooted in ancient technique, but the 2025 vintage feels bold and bright in all the right ways. Aromas of peach blossom, black tea, and mandarin rise from the glass leading to notes of Dried Apricot, Tangerine, and Honeydew on the palate. Pair with spiced lamb, pork belly or aged cheeses. 200 cases produced.
VINTAGE
The 2025 vintage unfolded as a dynamic and ultimately rewarding growing season. A mild even spring encouraged even flowering and strong vine growth. Summer was one of the coldest on memory resulting in slow ripening that retained acidity and freshness in the wines. Harvest was punctuated by multiple rain events that slowed ripening even further. This extended hang time allowed the grapes to develop concentrated and intense flavors at lower alcohols.

Vineyard NOTES
Chardonnay is grown on a variety of blocks on the western, coolest portion of our Regenerative Organic Certified Rhinefarm Estate vineyard. The average vine age is 30 years old, and there are a variety of legacy clones we work with, including one that was imported from Burgundy in the 1950s and is proprietary to the Bundschu family. All of our Chardonnay grows in the lower portion of the vineyard, a section that sits literally across the street from the Carneros appellation border and shares the cooling benefits of the fog from San Pablo Bay and the Petaluma Gap. The clay-loam vineyard has a substratum of gravel, which is unusual for the area and lends itself to the quintessential fresh mineral character of our Chardonnay.
