A fun but serious rosé crafted to beat the heat, the 2016 Rhinefarm Rosé represents the cooler area of the estate vineyard as a blend of our Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Gewürztraminer. The marriage of these grapes results in a refreshing yet dry, crisp and complex wine with bright aromas of fresh lime, young strawberries and kiwi, leading to a surprisingly medium-bodied palate of white peach and Rainier
cherries. This courtship is kept lively with good acidity and a long, clean mineral finish that lingers on the tastebuds. Ideal with lighter fare, a deck with a view, and/or good company.

Vineyard NOTES

Our Rhinefarm Rosé is crafted with fruit sourced primarily from the Bundschu family’s 150+ year-old Rhinefarm Estate Vineyard, located on the southwest slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, just eight miles north of San Pablo Bay. The terrain below 150 ft elevation features gently sloping Huichica clay
loam soils with gravel deposits and cooler growing conditions that deliver minerality and focused acidity. Our Rhinefarm Rosé is sourced primarily from Dijon and Heritage clones of Pinot Noir up to 40 years old.

Production NOTES

Hand-harvested in cool morning hours. Destemmed, and gravity fed directly to tank. Must left on skins for 24 hours. 473 cases produced.
