Tasting NOTES
The 2021 vintage was a year of low yields, with small, ripe berries leading to wines with deep richness, dark boysenberry fruit balanced by redwood bark, moss and black pepper spice. Fans of our limited-production old vine Rhinefarm Pinot Noir will be excited to taste this wine, which has the richness and structure that people have come to love about our Estate Pinot Noir.
Vineyard NOTES
Our 2021 Petaluma Gap Pinot Noir was sourced from a hidden gem vineyard planted by our cousin a few years back and known only by a select few insiders. Nestled amongst the rolling hills in the Petaluma Gap AVA, these Goulding soils provide nutrients and drainage for the vines. This AVA is famed for their persistent wind and fog, which creates a cooler environment for Pinot Noir grapes to thrive at this site. With our intimate familiarly with the vineyard, we knew it would yield a wine of texture and richness
